My dearest Jett whom as the middle child I vowed to not allow you to feel "shorted", well this year might not have met all your expectations. Although, Jett is pretty easy going, of all my children he was the one with his heart set on a big party with his friends. We have a family rule- for financial and practical purposes- we only have big friend parties every other year. Leaving the other years for special family parties and special times (he didn't really buy into the special family time). His birthday also fell 10 days prior to another big Hawken move to our new home. Another reason that a small party at home was the only way to go. Thank goodness for the super generous family and friends that showered gifts upon this special guy so that he was reminded that when you have your party at home- you can immediately play with your toys!!!
He wanted an ice cream cake.
