Scott was in Florida and Jett just had his cast put on- but this snow was awesome. Light fluffy and I think we got about 3 inches- enought to sled in and really have some fun. All bundled up the boys finally got to wear their snow gear. I couldn't get Jett's coat over the end of his cast since it was so thick- but it worked out since it kept it dry and out of the snow. Jett was in LOVE with the snow. He was sledding, throwing snow balls and it did not slow him down a bit. We had been waiting for this day- it was just a super big bummer that dad wasn't here to share in it. We had not gotten any sleds yet so I found a large tupperware lid and did great for getting us down the hills. I didn't bring my camera with me for sledding- but we have a humongous hill down the street and we all left with belling sore from giggles. Now Owen did not like any part of the snow or cold. But he was forced to be bundled and join the rest of us. I had to carry him up and down the hill to the sled spot as he refused to walk or move with any of the clothes on. Funny- but man was I sore the next day from the sledding and hauling of kids!
Jett's poor little fingers were so red- I was able to use one of Owen's mittens that could fit over and keep the little guys warm.
This is just an extra shot. This is snow day #2, dad gone for several days by now and I was desperate. So we raided the recycle bin and made our own superhero outfits with what I had. The pizza box cape was the best.
