So to tell the rest of the story. We were able to talk the people into giving us a few extra days and they would move in the following Sunday (7 days from finding out instead of 3). Scott left Tuesday for a major land owner event he had in Ohio taking the whole company with him for the big event. He left Ohio and went to Florida, had the POD delivered the Thursday before. Loaded it Friday with the help of his incredible parents who had started packing things in boxes. Pushed in the piano. Went home for dinner and Cought an early flight out on Saturday to be back by 6 for a work event that evening. It was a whirlwind and one that never would have come together if it wasn't for his parents help and coordination and muscle power. It is still hard to think of others living in our house but the check has made the sting less strong.
I do have to say- for all of you that may experience something like this in the future- do not sell your wife's things rather than pack them up!!!!! My husband was loading the last things- 2 brand new (yes 1 year old I guess) beautiful lawn chairs we had bought for the pool. The neighbor asked if we would like to sell them and my husband said sure- thinking he was a pretty smart guy and I would be thrilled by the cash! Anyway with the $30 he got (they cost $400 one year ago), he came home to a FURIOUS wife! A word to the wise- call your wife before you sell her stuff. Scott is finally off the couch and counts his blessings that I didn't sell the Beamer in my madness!
